Koyana Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. is a leading
producer of agro products from Satara district, Maharashtra.
It has been set up by Mr. Vikramsinh Patankar and is managed
by a team of professionals with experience in the food processing
industry. The company is a unique amalgamation of farmer participation.
About 950 farmers are shareholders in the company.
The aim of the company is to process agro products and to
ensure good financial returns to the share holders, farmers
and to the region by way of employment generation.
The Plant
The company and its plant are located at Patan,
Satara district. The region lies in the Koyana river valley in
the western Sahyadri mountains. The entire area is rich and fertile
with strawberries, mangoes, amla, jamun plantations. Patan is
well easily accessible to Pune and Mumbai and other cities like
Kolhapur, Chiplun, Satara and Karad. It also has a railhead.
Easy availability of fresh farm produce has given a distinct
advantage to Koyana Agro Products.
The state of art plant built over 1568 sq.m. area conforms to
the strictest standards of quality and hygiene. The entire production
process is automated and the plant is systems and processes driven
with standards pertaining to every area of operation. The company
adheres to International quality norms as per HACCP (Hazard Analysis
Critical Control Points) and ISO standards. A modern laboratory
has also been setup for Research and Development and Quality
checks. A highly qualified and experienced technical staff also
play a crucial role.
